The difference in quality between McCarthy and Delph is not worth the extra £10 million McCarthy would cost.

I think it is I think McCarthy if we could get him for say 15 to 18m that would be worth it and he's a better player

Very happy with this. Couldn't care less why he turned us down in the first place or why he's since changed his mind, he's a blue now and that's all that matters. Just like Sterling is, and just like Pogba and KDB are, Delph is the best option we could get for the role he'll play. It's good to be signing plan A targets for once Now get that big one finished Txiki!

He's never struck me as a lad lacking minerals so I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt here.....certainly an opportunity to state his reasoning,although I fear the truth will never come out.
Anyway,i wanted him first time round,i was very disappointed when it 'fell through' so i'm equally happy its now back on - a great signing,he will prove very,very useful.

I think he's a good player and what we need tbh by I'd much rather have James McCarthy who i think is a level above Delph

Delph is homegrown whereas McCarthy isn't so that helps Delph's case
