Makes sense to keep him around another year for his experience, with Denayer or Rekik coming back to replace Boyata (but playing more often, while Demi plays less) Doesn't make much sense to bring in a different veteran who will need 6 months getting used to the team, only to then have to replace him in a couple of years as well.

Rekik can be sold, not good enough. Denayer can replace Boyata either this summer or the next. So 4 centre halves Kompany/Mangala/Demichelis/Boyata or Denayer. Looks a healthy situation to me.

My worry is what if he turns badly Rio Ferdinand?
Rio got in the Premiership team of the year then turned fucking gash the next season, certainly not Premiership League standard and doubtful if he could get in the Oldham team these days.
Before anyone says "bbbbut camel gob was all about the pace, all about the pace, all about the pace, not chedder" Rio's pace had went but he still had similar attributes to Demi in that he never got bullied and his footballing brain kept him out of trouble.

It pains me to say it but Kompany could be our Rio mark2 next season. Now expect at least a final warning.

I think we need to delegate our budget in much more needed areas in the summer and losing all three of Milner, Demichelis and Lampard on free's meaning money having to be spent replacing them when we need to spend some decent money on our central midfield and attacking midfield/ wings, it's wise to keep Demichelis for one more year.
I think Boyata will be sold and replaced with Denayer, Rekik will be sold in my opinion.

Rekik will probably be sold(maybe part ex'd) as Denayer is the better player and I don't think there is a place for both.
I would keep Martin unless we can get a bargain no brainer elsewhere,as,like above,funds will be needed elsewhere.
