Denis Suarez - 'City Have A Gem'

Am I the only one who rates Roman more than Suarez ?

I was hoping to see more of these kids in the Carling Cup, but Mancini decided not to do so.
Hopefully we will see at least two of the following the Europa League ( Razak,Suarez,Roman or Rekik).

That he appeared in the cup this season aged 17 (Rekik at 16) shows there are plans for him if his development continues.

Most of our youth players often struggle for a cup appearance even at 20 or so, although it has become a habit to hand out some 80-89th minute debuts to players like Wabara and Chantler recently.

Guidetti, Suarez, and Rekik are very special talents. Razak looks like he could be too. And now we have Pozo all signed up.

Even though both Rekik and Suarez are good prospects i wouldn't be surprised if inclusion in a few first team squads was part of their contract. Why else would you turn down Barcelona for City when you are Spanish?

From what i have seen from both they are still a good 3-4 years away from being involved week in week out. Both have a lot to learn.

Out of all our prospects, two stand head and shoulders above the rest, with Roman and Razak the other two worthy of consideration.

REKIK and SUAREZ.

At 16 and 17 respectively, time is on their side but I would not be at all surprised if we see 1st team appearances from these two next season. We may even get to see them come off the bench in the Europa THIS season if we can get past Porto.

Suarez reads the game well, has tonnes of ability and has the composure and nous to make an impact at the highest level. I have rarely been this enthused about a 17 year old and, if all continues to go well, City have indeed unearthed an absolute gem. In fact, damn it, I'm going to stick my neck out right now and state that IMHO, Suarez will play some games for us in the Carling Cup (at least) next season. I also believe that both he and Rekik will be part of the 1st team squad pre-season training programme, along with probably Razak and possibly Roman.

The present may seem more and more as if it is now Blue, but just wait another few years and see where Manchester City FC are then. Our chests will be bursting with pride when we speak of our beloved Club.

Do you rate Suarez so much less than Wilshere who made an impact on the Premier League at 18/19? Suarez hasn't really been tested at first team level yet but if he can handle the physicality quickly I think he could be in for appearances far sooner than 3-4 years. Rekik I don't know except to say he has the physical maturity of someone well older than him and didn't seem phased at all when thrown into two Carling Cup games this season. I have to wonder if he'd have done any worse than Savic in the games Savic struggled in.

Yes. Both play different roles. Wilshere plays a lot more deeper and as such releases the ball a lot quicker. Every time i have seen Suarez plays he has held onto the ball far too long which is why he's still a long way away but as that report says training with Silva everyday is improving him.

Rekik i haven't see enough of him due to the sparse number of games but he looks like a beast.

2-0 Spain U-18, and it's Denis Suárez of #MCFC with the goal. His 2nd goal in 3 games.
