After the top drawer pre season he had, where he was often praised by his manager and team mates, should we expect to see him near the first team any time soon? Or do we think he's more likely to get his chance in the eds and carling cup games for this season?

If Silva gets injured or has to miss some times, it might present a big window of opportunity for Suarez as even if we sign Nasri, he is a different sort of player to Silva, while Suarez (and Roman) seems to play similar to Silva based on what we saw (make space, find the ball, feed the ball). Assulin seems more like Nasri to me, more willing to run and dribble, with an eye for goal.
 
Anyone who claims he had a top pre-season is looking through incredibly blue tinted specs. He looked absolutely nowhere near ready. Currently far too lightweight and lost the ball far too frequently. Looked a hell of a talent in the latest EDS video on the City tv section of the website though, so he's probably got bags of potential

I doubt he really had a TOP DRAWER pre-season. He only just impressed the senior figures in training.
 
Nowhere near ready for the first team. He'll be playing in the NextGen thingy with Andy Welsh's lads.
 
Razak and Suarez are different types of player. Both look set for a few first team games this season I would hope. Suarez in particular I have high hopes for, he strikes me as someone who could be a heartbeat for any team.

Important we now blood our youngsters when the opportunity arises, but sensibly. Crashing out of the FA Cup at home to Rotherham or someone would not be good at all, for club or for the youngsters.

Raz shone all day at Hyde against livercesspool, Denis did look a cut above too when he came on. The jump to our first team is a big one for both, i'd expect loans to decent championship/spl teams first
 
Is Rzak going to get a few run outs this season does anyoe think? We haven't replaced Paddy V and seem light on numbers in central midfield considering we usually play with 3 centre mids

Meaning we have to play Milner as a defensive mid :(
 
Just hope Mancini does what Wenger does in the league cup play some of these youngsters! That's where Fabregas started out playing in!

I agree he is a way off by all accounts but that shouldn't surprise anyone,we bought potential.

We're ok for defensive mids mate (de Jong, barry, Zab, Yaya), but numbers on the whole are short
