Couldn’t understand Southgate taking Foden off. To me Foden was finding his stride and rarely lost the ball. Even Sake seemed to be able to go past his man.
Secondly I really don’t understand Bowen over Palmer.

I think you mis-heard, he was comparing with how they are allowed to play for City but not allowed by Southgate to play that way for England. EG Stones being allowed to advance into midfield at City but Southgate doesn't allow him to because he's to defensive. Wio just said the same.
