Derby Betting

I don't understand people that bet one thing and say they think it'll be something else, may as well burn your money with a match right now.

Don't get caught up in betting just cause it's a big game, and if you are going to bet then bet smart, really consider rather than going for a "dream scenario" or whatever pays best.

At the very least make sure if your going to bet that you only do so with money you can afford to lose.

Square.

-- Sun Apr 29, 2012 10:54 pm --

I couldn't turn down the Hill's special of Tevez scoring anytime and City winning at 4/1. If anything is a dead cert that one is, so I've put £10 on it.

Now that leaves the last £10 to spend, wish I new the team sheets!

£30 well spent:

-----------------------------------
Pablo Zabaleta @ 390/1Last GoalscorerOpen
Man City 3-1 @ 390/1Correct ScoreOpen

Stake: £1.00Potential Returns: £390
-----------------------------------
Mario Balotelli @ 12/1Last GoalscorerOpen

Stake: £1.00Potential Returns: £12
-----------------------------------
Man City @ 10/3Match BettingOpen

Sergio Aguero @ 10/3Anytime GoalscorerOpen

Stake: £6.00Potential Returns: £20
-----------------------------------
Pablo Zabaleta @ 20/1Anytime GoalscorerOpen

Stake: £2.00Potential Returns: £40.00
-----------------------------------
Tevez to score anytime and Man City win @ 4/1Match WinnersOpen

Stake: £10.00Potential Returns: £50.00
-----------------------------------
Man City 5-2 @ 125/1Correct ScoreOpen

Stake: £10.00Potential Returns: £1260.0
-----------------------------------

(Yes I know my betting is all over the place, but if we lose tomorrow I can't be arsed betting on the remaining games. So I've wavered the rule of avoiding contradictory bets. It was either spend it all on the biggest derby I've known or spend it on lottery tickets which is no fun!)

I won't be having a bet on the match, but last night I had a dream and it was vivid.
I can't remember who scored City's first, but Tevez popped the second in - the whole ground was bouncing to the loudest chants ever of "Fergie sign him up!".

We finished up winning 2-0. I remember Wooney walking around with his face looking like he'd just had a stroke.

I think I'm gonna start drinking, soon as I've dropped the kids off at school, I'm a wreck and it isn't even 8.30 yet.

Let's hope your dream is true.

I reckon Kun will get the first and Tevez the second. Decided to go with any time though because of sod's law.

Come on City!!!!!!!!
how do you get this free bet? was it the sign up bet?

and as a side note, i don't understand why anyone would put money on city in this game? surely a city win would be enough, and the match will be stressful enough without the added pressure of possible financial game??

in fact, I'm considering putting £5/£10 on a united win, and the draw.

£5 on each at 12/5 each brings in £17, meaning a £7 profit if we don't win. is this enough, or should i be doubling my stake to £10 on each? help me out

Over 3.5 goals might not be a bad bet.

-- Mon Apr 30, 2012 6:07 pm --

Depends if you're prepared to lose £20 mate. Not saying it will definitely happen don't have a crystal ball sadly but I am on City tonight. Took the enhanced price on Paddy Power.

Did Tevez and Aguero for 1st scorers and Balotelli for last. I'm contemplating a bit on over 3.5. 17 goals in derbies so far this season although you would think this one will be more tense than the others.

stuck a few quid on Rooney getting a red @ 25's with Paddy Power - been feeling he will for a few weeks now and if we go a couple up he's going to be the one running around like an idiot and will do something stupid.

PP also gave an enhanced 3/1 for city to win so I got on that for sure.
