Clicking through their Twitter feed they played 3 senior midfielders last night, the first being our old friend George Evans(23) who's coming back from an injury. The other two were Jacob Butterfield(28) & George Thorne(25) so our young side really did do well.

It would be nice if Poveda or Matondo were on the bench on Wednesday. The U19’s have already been knocked out and presumably Diaz won’t be involved so he’s not cup tied.

The cup-tied rule has been abolished this season, but if Diaz wants to leave us, we should focus on other youngsters like Poveda or Matondo
