The truth is that Rooney, like so many talented players, is not a good manager. Just watching him as a TV pundit shows that he will never make the grade. He spent most of his playing career (mostly brilliant) in a very rigid formation where he played a very specific role. On TV he is not smart tactically. He reminds me a bit (though not as bad) as Stuart Pearce whose solution to everything was to "get in their faces."Signed as a player and we all knew the manager would end up getting sacked with him taking over.
That happened and he made them worse. Then he was very fortunate to avoid relegation with Rotherham having to play what seemed like every 5 minutes and then took them down.
Rag press will no doubt be hailing him as a success and ignoring he finished much lower in his 1st season than the previous manager they sacked and seems to me he was managing with zero expectations on him the last 2 years due to the off field issues but if the takeover goes through, he would be under more pressure next season to succeed so walked away
I seem to remember a Clowes from years back who defrauded mainly pensioners with dodgy financial products. That’s no more coverage of Derby just like Oldham, Valencia on Sky sports. Probably needs some fresh grannies
No, no. The unlikely West Mids Police at WBA had a cracker in the match where snow nearly abandoned the match. The coach had turned right towards the ground and someone spotted this lovely looker shouting 'hey look at her'. Everyone went to the right side of the bus which leaned right over. Thought it was going to tipDerby have the best looking Copperess’s looking after away fans. Was gutted when Derby were relegated.
