1894 Group taking donations for the derby in March. It may seem a while off but games even this far in advance are prepared.

An idea was put to the club's security which they have ok so it will be something very special that will be seen all around the world should make all City fans very proud.

Please share the link with family and friends if you feel you can help.

Off topic, but what are the plans for the home tie vs Kiev? Have you had any contact with the club as yet. Was watching the build up to United at home and Hamburg at home a couple of days ago, the lights out really made the atmosphere? Do you think this could be done again??

Lights out looks fantastic and we are trying to push for a repeat. Unfortunately it is a security issue that holds it back. Then there is the slow process of meetings to get the lights out passed.

Cant wait for the derby display, lots of preparation needed so has to be planned early. The biggest club in the PL should have the best displays :-)

Cheers for the reply! I'll donate when back at home!

Are you looking at doing a tifosi or whatever they're called? It'd look amazing. The skyline of Manchester along the bottom of the lower North Stand and the new badge rising from it.

it will hopefully be something rising up using the pulleys in the south stand. not the new badge. can't say any more.

as for the kiev question, it depends on the mood of the crowd. the crowd have this issue with uefa and we've reflected that. also it's about the attendance. champions league games have ben slow to sell so it's hard to plan on cards/ foil etc when you don't know who is going to be there. maybe we'll look at something else ie getting the ground to sing blue moon throughout the anthem instead of booing.

as trev said we brought up lights out blue moon during a recent meeting. they said no for that for everton 2nd leg and 8000 scousers in the ground and old bill a bit edgy. club want to do it but it's finding the right game. we hand the ground over to uefa in effect for euro games so not necessarily going to happen v kiev either

Thanks, nice to get some idea as to considerations behind the scene. Personally, I'd still boo the anthem, but anything else before or after or at the same time as that gets everyone lively will be immense
