Derby Day

I'll guarantee they'll play like Barcelona and Stoke combined next week! As in keeping the ball plus putting in as many crosses as possible! oh and taking it in turns to kick Silva(if playing)!! If the ref favours them as usual we are in trouble! I'll take 0-0 now and move on! Hoping Chelsea beat them twice also liverpool doing em as well!!......

I have been saying for ages that what we have seen of the rags is the best they have to offer. They haven't been playing poorly they have been playing to the best of their ability. They are not a great side, good yes but not great. We really do not have anything to fear, other than fergietime and a weak referee. I don't believe the hype, never have done and never will. We just need to do a whiskey nose and make up some shite about hoping the ref is fair, thus bringing it to the attention of the world.
If owen comes on with a minute to go and we're winning I hope someone has he bollox to end his career.

Serious question my friend about 'fergietime'. If both teams are playing then surely in injury time both teams are allowed to attack and score?

Anyhow, it should be a cracking game of football.
I am not your friend and never will be, do not confuse me being civil with friendship. You know as well as I do if the opposition had the audacity to score it would be disallowed.

Well I suppose that's a possibilty if the refs are corrupt, in which case then they would have just ruled out previous goals for the opposition before it got to that stage instead surely lol. Anyhow I just came on for some friendly discussion but I'll accept unfriendly conversation also (I've been married for 30 years lol).

Too many dodgey decisions, players allowed to do what they want, things not seen etc, etc, etc. No conspiracy weak refereeing.

Given the frequency of over-reactions on Bluemoon I'd imagine over the next week we'll see a fair few posts about United's luck having finally run out, how they'll now be vulnerable and how we'll show them what an average team they really are.

Well they're not, like it or not they're a very good team. It could be argued that individually they don't look as strong as the other four teams in the top 5 but the work Ferguson has done over the years means that as a team they are still very good. They know how to play together and they have a system which all their players understand.

They may have suffered their first defeat yesterday but if anything that could make them more determined to beat us. I'm not saying we can't win and I'm not saying we won't win but it most certainly won't be easy.

p.s. They've only dropped 2 points at home all season.

Vulnerablity doesn't come into it ...... the rags have won so many titles becsause of their ability to bounce back after defeats ..... and it's exactly that that we must guard against on Saturday!

We have to be totally focused from the word go right up until 'Fergie time' has finished!

I think our players will be up for this big time and utd getting beat at wolves proves they are not invincible we will want to show just how good we are and i can see big performances on the horizon.we have simply nothing to fear we go there and play football if we get beat we get beat but lets have a go because we certainly have the players to win there and it could kickstart us on a winning run so all to play for and fingers crossed we may just get the rub of the green you need for once and when saturday night comes we could all be smiling cmon city!

I've come on here this week to see what you're all thinking.

Looking forward to Saturday, nothing like derby day.

Speaking to a few of my blue mates at the weekend and they're not too bothered about it. They said they're just hoping for the best and not expecting too much.

You all thinking like this?

nope all i want is 3 points and nothing more :)

It's all very well everyone going on about how we should attack them and obviously it'd be great if we went to Castle Greyskull and demolished them.

But we've gone there before, scored three and come away with nothing.

There's a bit more to it than just 'going for it'. And that is why we are doing better under Mancini than Hughes.

We've got Dzeko for this game which will be a huge plus, as in previous seasons we haven't really had a target to we can hit to take the pressure off during the inevitable spells of defending.
