I think the only good thing to come out of the derby being a mid-week game is that it will be an electrifying atmosphere that we make on our own. Also, we will have lights out then and that sounded immense in the night derby last season!
The bad thing(s): fans will just take the day off work/college/uni and get pissed all day and then go the game and that will only cause more trouble in the ground/in the city centre, most places in my opinion...at times, trouble is bad enough at 12:45 derby kick-offs; what will it be like with a 7:45/8:00 kick off? Perfect example, my teacher at college said he will finish no later than 3:00 and go straight to town; park the car and get pissed! That's 3 hours before the game, what will people be like with drinking ALL day?
Overall, I think IF police can do some magic turn-around and keep a lid of trouble, it's a better deal for us..more intimidating atmosphere will be created, and not a bad word to us cos no doubt it'll be rags who cause the trouble cos they are dicks like that!
