Derby post match thread 10/09/2016

Probably been said before but it seems United lost when football was played in the first half so resorted to Wimbledon tactics in the second half.
Suits their signings perfectly.

It makes me smile knowing that the rags only repite is that they say they were robbed of a penalty that if they actually scored it would have given them a home draw.

fuckn LOL.

He's actually alright for a Stockport rag and even said Peter Barnes was his favourite left winger on Sunday Supplement today, and when your mams Emily Bishop you can get away with anything since Ernie got cliiped with that shotgun!

He is a rag **** like the rest of them, it's just that we are getting so desensitized to the shit and lies they Wright about us, that when they actually speak a little truth we lap it up like a starving dog being threw a bone.
He may be more honest then others but he has written and fabricated enough shit about us in the past , maybe he is clever enough to see what is coming football wise and dont want to alianite us any more.
Sure looked shell shocked on TV Sunday morning , but not as much shell shocked as that gangly jowled fat prick he was on with, who looked like he was still mesmerised from the game but kept going back to the safety of "united deserved to get a point " quote
Can imagine him waking up screaming sometime this week, with them 1st 40 minutes finally sinking in, a bit like the moment in farther Ted when Bishop Brennen realises he been up the arse...
The pair of them looked dazed bemused and just sad at what they had witnessed ... The Gorrdeie bloke didn't add much

Why are people raving about Ibrahimovic's goal? Even City's twitter said he "volleyed in spectacularly"! Bravo dropped the ball at his feet and he knocked it into an unguarded net, there was nothing special!
Nah come on. It was an excellent volley. The ball was above waist height and he controlled it superbly and we had two players on the line that would have blocked it but for his accuracy for the top corner.

I think the best thing about the derby win is that they spent a fortune on Pogba and he was torn apart by our two man central midfield pairing of Fernandinho and Silva. He didn't get involved. Zlatan didn't appear until they played hoof ball in the second half. Their best player was a young kid Mourinho has stuck on the bench for the most part this season and only when he came on did they threaten with the ball on the deck. They still don't know how to play their best players because Rooney can't be dropped and he completely damages their team. They've got the likes of Mata and Mkhitiryan who could create chances but Rooney is occupying their best position.

Meanwhile Silva is playing as a central midfielder and dominating games. That allows De Bruyne to play as a no.10 and a fluid attack with Sterling and Nolito. We've bought players and we know where to play them. Stones has slotted in well and Bravo will too once he's had more time with our defenders and the communication is sorted. Gundogan is probably the best midfielder in the league and he's not even come into our side yet. Gabriel Jesus looks a class act and right when you need to kick on after a busy festive period of games, he'll be able to slot into the side and will cause the opposition no end of problems.

According to that we played a bigger percentage of long balls?? 11.8% v 8.7% and that equates to 70 passes v 32!! No way am I having that

I think you have to think about what it classes as a long ball

Our first goal came from a long ball....the difference being ute's were aimless punts into the area/edge of the box aimed at groups of players...our first goal was an accurate long ball aimed at one player (kelechi) from Kolorov.

Also there were numerous times (again from Kolorov) that he "switched play" form one side to another - they probably count that as a long pass....

The big difference is the class of the long pass...utd - the majority of which (esp in the second half) were just aimless punts up to the big men, whereas ours were more calculated....

Just look at the difference between the short passes though!

Ive noticed since Pep took over (amongst other things) that we have started to mix our game up way more....under the staleness of last season with Pellers we just started to play a to of aimless sideways passes going nowhere...under pep we are moving the ball vertically back and forwards very quickly (like pistons in an engine) as well as side to side when needed...we are also using a far bigger range of passing and are using more "long balls" - its the quality behind that ball that counts..like i said....aimless punts as opposed to calculated passes to change defence into attack very quickly and to get in behind an opponents defence by going over them.....look at sterling...he is now continuously trying to make runs in behind the opponents where as last season him (and navas esp) would come short and backwards for the ball ALL the time

yeah but what's a long pass? If it's purely distance travelled, there were quite a few 'long' passes along the floor back to Bravo. I dont have a clue how these things are worked out, and it doesnt matter really.
