He's been looking like a grinning idiot since he got the job. Almost as if he cant believe his luck getting a job he's not even remotely qualified for.

Just watched the first few minutes.

I'll tell you what, you can see fear on the faces of every single person in the United camp as they walk to the dressing room. They are building up a bank of bad memories of playing City and psychologically that's so important.

That's four out of five league derbies we've won. And it's years since they outplayed us. They fucking know it.

this,

it's like the late 60's early 70's when we used to turn them over most times we played them.

the tide is turning now and things are starting to take shape.

Evan back then I don't ever remember us dominating them like we did on Sunday, DD you are dead right, you could see they were really tense, whereas our lot all strolled in nice and relaxed......

Oh I dunno, 4-1 at the Swamp when Frannie got his hat-trick, 4-0 at Maine Rd the previous season, they were never at the races in either match as I recall. Then there was the 3-0 at Maine Rd in 72/73 when they had Frank O'Failure in charge, Rodney Marsh taking the piss out by the corner flag.

It shines through right throughout. Moyes looks terrified, big false smile on his face. Ferdinand all bravado, attempting to look like he's in control, eyes betraying fear. Look at us come down the tunnel at half time. Just gone 2-0 up, roof coming off the stadium. The players are stone cold focussed. Yaya's cool as a cucumber.

They come out before the second half and I loved the way they all spread out in the whole tunnel. Like they owned the place. If I was the manager I'd tell them to do that "accidentally" every week. Even at the end they didn't celebrate like Wycombe have just knocked Arsenal out the club, They just shrugged and strolled in, job done.

These things all impact on the opposition's psyche. I've said it before, these lads are winners. Real pros.

This is in stark contrast with how united (quite understandably) celebrated their victory at the Etihad last season, in spite of their enduring and absurd claims that it isn't their biggest game.

There can be no doubt about the value of psychology in determining the outcome of sporting contests. I did think when I was stood in the Bernabeu this time last year how much of a competitive advantage Real must enjoy with that quite overwhelming stadium before a ball has even been even kicked. These things matter.

Let's not forget that Ferguson uttered those infamous words "not in my lifetime" when asked if City would go into a Manchester Derby as favourites. That event occurred several years ago. Perhaps he should have also been asked will united ever go into a Manchester Derby in a collective state of inferiority and neurosis about the contest, as I suspect will be the case for the foreseeable.

I wonder what he thinks of his other quote from that period: "A small club with a small mentality". It's since become almost too comical for words.

Tunnel cam Yaya and Brian Kidd

Apologies if this has been covered before. Please merge if necessary.
Does anyone know what Yaya said to Brian Kidd at approximately 7:10 that sent Kiddo scurrying outside like a rat up a drainpipe?
