Di Maria

One year bump!

But anyway, Marca reporting that Real Madrid brass are furious with Di Maria for publically requesting a pay rise.

Marca say that if Real can capture Neymar, they will listen to offers for Di Maria, who we were strongly linked with last summer. Dalglish apparently interested.

A diving prick but a talented diving prick, would you have him?

Agreed. One of the best wingers in the world. He is a diver but he works hard for a winger. And he's an incredibly good crosser, which is something we need.

He'd potentially be up there as second choice after Sanchez imo

dimaria IMO is better than sanchez.

Think the whole thing is that Sanchez was on the market when we started looking and dimaria definitely wasn't, but dimaria has a much better work rate and has played at a higher level than sanchez and is still only 23 so maybe your right

hart

richards
vinny
vertonghen
Zaba

nige
yaya

sanchez
silva
di maria

tevez.......

Half mongrel-tastic that team eh...who'd of thought...if carlsberg..... an all that

I haven't got a clue who we'll get or indeed who we're actually after....all I know is the reds are worried...they'll slowly start to unearth some more unkindly parts of their characters that we suspected were there but which they always denied.....I'd go for it starting most probably right after we absolutely humiliate them at Wembley.......can we play you every week anyone...??

I reckon its a fair assumption, given the recent past under our glorious owner, that whoever we buy will be more commonly known as "quality" and di maria certainly does it for me

I'm gonna keep up with what I believe is going on and contrast it with a good pinch of gut and guesswork and watch the signings roll in......

I can't remember ever being so anxious for the winter before....this Mcr summer is bobbins...so lets have a few good weekends for some barbys and get it over and done with and lets resume battle....

Not really into pre season friendlies.... just can't wait for the first day....

I must be a typical eternal optimist as well but I can also see us dickin Swanspee about 7-0...with a masterclass from David Silva in the late spring sunshine at our glorious stadium......with goals from our debutants....the amazing.....?????????......who absolutely owned his side of the pitch...along with ??????? who was absolute quality all day, and scored on his debut in Citys impressive new shirt........

Rollon start of August......Can't wait......

Less than 25 million and yes then I´ve no doubt he will be value for money for us

Personally, i would rather see many other different players at City. Don't rate the guy that highly,
Would rather have Nasri or Mata!

Don't rate him at all, would be delighted if Liverpool blew £25m on him, he falls over every 5 minutes in Spain, imagine what he'd be like against the likes of Stoke or Blackburn; he'd have 90% of fans screaming at him to get up and stop being a soft get!

Pretty much every time I have watched RM this season (admittedly not loads of games), Di Maria has stood out as one of their best players. He is a bit of a diving twat, but he is a strong player. Could definitely do a job for us, and I wouldn't want to see him end up at Liverpool

Marca says two English clubs are willing to pay big money for him - us and Chelsea.

Mourinho does not want to sell him but Real are tempted to earn a profit and an unnamed English club have held meetings. I find it unlikely they will sell him but if they will then we should be in the queue.

He is a diving twat but there is no better winger in Europe at the moment, IMO. Some would say Hazard is better but Hazard has yet to do it in a true top league, Di Maria has 13 assists, which is 3 more than Silva has, while Hazard has 7 assists in the weaker Ligue 1.

To put it bluntly, he is on a level that Adam Johnson will never get close to despite being younger and would be a great signing for us, solving the problem of having no wide man. He can also chip in with a few goals here and there.

Why would Di Maria flop? He has pace to burn, isn't a midget (Hazard is much smaller), and has crazy talent so just like Silva would not suffer the "lightweight" curse especially as he plays a role that relies on pace and skill more than being a hard-man. If Nani can cope in the league, Di Maria surely can.

I think he means he'd flop to the floor. The Premiership is the most physical league in the world, even though the FA are trying to stop that, he'd spend more time on the ground than he would burning pace imo

Mancini tells his players not to dive, Di Maria would have to adapt and even if he didn't it isn't like there are competent referees in England, look at how much diving Suarez and Nani get away with.

I hate diving but the way things are going with these referees and stitch-up jobs I wouldn't begrudge Mancini telling the players to start trying it on as every club around us has divers and serial cheaters.

Which is why i don't ever want them at the club

Severely underrated player, on a par with Ozil IMO, don't see why RM would sell him though.
