Diane Abbott

She’s had far too much hate since I started this thread many years ago and my attitude has changed over the years as I become more liberal, I regret my opening post.

Steady on BH....politics is no place for sober reflection and adult behaviour, worse still actually changing your point of view. You need to take your grown up thoughts back to the music threads.

One of the safest Labour seats in the country, completely untouched by Tory hands. Stick a rosette on a Shire Horse and it's a dead cert.
WTF has that to do with anything? She's widely reported to be doing a good job gor her constituents not just winning elections. Her problem appears to be an inability to perform on TV interviews, something she shares with almost all Tory ministers.

It has a lot to do with everything, if she was a Tory she'd have gone by now. You don't think that being in the safest seat in Labourland gives her an advantage?

Some of the shit she's said in the past would have seen her out on her arse if she wasn't in that seat.

From personal experience...

Diane Abbott is the most repugnant, self-seeking person I ever had reason to work with. She has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. A very shady character, I wouldn't believe her if she told me that the earth was round.
She's a politician. And what you said there could be applied to a large section of the body politic.

What that racist **** said about her was totally out of order and I hope he is dealt with by the law over it.

That aside, she is a useless fucking politician and as such, she should be given the shit other useless politicians are given on here, many of whom are also women who are black or from different races and cultural backgrounds.
I think it's fair to say that she gets plenty of criticism on here mate!

Very true. I spent two years working alongside ministers and staff in Westminster about 20 years ago.

They're all the same, self-interested egotists, looking to keep themselves relevant with absolutely minimal effort. Frank Field and Kenneth Clark are the only ones I met who I would have any time for. Decent blokes.

Calling Diane Abbott a politician is really stretching the imagination. She's a parasite imo.
