This is what the Editor of the paper from 2008-2021, wrote in the guardian in 2005.

Why are you assuming @TinFoilHat's knowledge of the paper is equivalent to that of the general public?

You'd only have to know that the long standing previous Editor was a market fundamentalist nutter to infer it was a muck spreading rag.

He posted that it’s the Fox News of newspapers and the clue was in the name. It has a circulation of a few tens of thousands so most people have never read it, then he backed up that comment by referring to Muslim and Catholic newspapers inferring that adherents of any religion only have one viewpoint.

The JC certainly has become a right wing rag but the clue isn’t in the name, it’s in the fact that the proprietor is a Tory spin doctor.
