Harry Potter party?
You would have to ask him, let’s just say the wand has never been found:-)
Harry Potter party?
The wonders of bluemoon, here’s a thread on Diane Abbott please don’t post on it a lot other wise you’re a bit iffy nudge nudge wink wink. The general election thread may be your safe space. You can call out Corbyn McDonnell, johnson, JRM, Farage all you want(you know white males) and although no one will notice you won’t go directly to hell.
Get new friends!
I am sure you would have got of with them like a house on fire.
Rubbish.
All the consideration your posts merit.
I'm puzzled.I assume you do realise that when you 'make the effort' of these one-word or one-line snide posts you understand how you make yourself look and just how you confirm to many posters your character?
If my posts are only worthy of contempt - why not just ignore them?
If my posts are open to challenge - then why not challenge them?
If my posts are factually incorrect - why not correct them?
Or - if you are just a pathetic whinger that can only throw out abuse and cheap and snide comments because you have no substance to offer - why not just continue the way you do?
Ahhh Mike you're doing it again.
You simply cant help yourself can you?
Poor Mike.

Thats exactly what you are doing.
- No it isn't, I never said that or even hinted at it.
Hang on you just said no ulterior motive?
- I did, I stated nobody said there was an ulterior motive (as far as I'm aware anyway. Tone and interpretation/misinterpretation of tone of posts is different. I then said the thoughts of female posters would be more valuable to that discussion. A discussion that might lead to claims of ulterior motives/sexism might not.
Search for them and bump them, its a free country and forum in that respect and if you cant find start one, its how it works. There are plenty of members on here that would pile in and dish abuse, plenty
- This misses the point entirely.
I know political threads tend to stray into the absurd, but the last few pages are very disheartening and a sad example of how poor political discourse has become. People seem to be deliberately misunderstanding what has been said.
Not one person has said you cannot criticise women, nor has anyone said you can't criticise people due to their race, religious beliefs or if they are LGBTQ+.
I posted that these certain politicians receive a disproportionate amount of attention on this forum than their male and right leaning female peers. The only constructive response I've seen is that Swinson and Sturgeon are leaders of opposition parties. Other than that it's like a Daily Mail "You can't say anything these days" comments section, look at the post about Chukka Umanna above.
The response of just start a thread or revive old threads of other politicians misses the point.
Take this thread, as far as I'm aware Diane Abbott has done nothing remotely newsworthy recently, at least nothing that warrants her thread remaining on the first page of this forum. Yet we see posts constantly decrying her lack of intelligence. Now take Dominic Raab, who many people, either side of the political spectrum, would consider to be an imbecile, there are no constant posts in a thread on him reminding us all that people think he's stupid.
Is it just that we've all accepted Raab is incompetent and a moron and moved on?....Think I've just answered it there :-)
Abbott probably gets more shit than most and although some of it is motivated by race, gender and class (and therefore unwarranted), the vast majority of criticism and abuse she gets is absolutely deserved. There's no comparison with her and Raab and 99% of other MPs sitting in Parliament.
In fact, on this forum, I think she's done well to only have 34 pages on her. She's standing to be the Home Secretary in a few weeks so I think it's only right that a woman who once said 'a defeat for Britain is a victory for us all' is scrutinised a bit closer than most other candidates.
That's especially the case when she's planning to abolish stop and search in the midst of a knife crime crisis, and wants to increase immigration when the majority of the British public want to reduce it. Maybe she'll be right on both issues but a very brief glance at her past record on the IRA, white women working in the NHS, and voting against proscribing Al Qaeda months before they smashed 4 airliners into various American landmarks tell us she will almost certainly be wrong and with devastating consequences for this country.

Just seen this,my view is this thread is mostly sexist,i say that as someone who is very hard to offend, i don't think it's right to call women cunts either,i haven't read the other ones so can't comment,i don't think Abbott has done anything wrong to warrant such hatred, she is not in government so she isn't responsible for any of the shite the last 10yrs have given us,that's where the fingers should be pointing,it seems she is getting battered in here because she is a women and a labour mpApologies @Ric, it was my observation that seems to have kicked this off.
Nobody is saying they shouldn't be criticised or that there is an ulterior motive behind it. I was just highlighting the coverage or 'stick' that they get in here is disproportionate to that of their male and right leaning female colleagues. Try searching for the threads on either of those former leaders you mentioned and if they exist how much interest they gathered. Theresa May had her own thread, yet there isn't one for the current PM, who has surely done more to be discussed in his time before and after becoming PM than Theresa May ever has.
Johnson, Cummings, Gove, Hunt, Patel, Javid, Rees-Mogg, Farage, Leadsom, Raab, McVey - Surely this merry band of feckless cretins should all have their own very popular individual threads regularly appearing at the top of the forum. Instead these left leaning women so much as break wind and posters are out to condemn or mock them.
Whether the tone of some posts/posters are sexist is a different debate. The thoughts of female posters would be more valuable to that discussion.
