Dickov Or Aguero

Dickov without question. Had Aguero not scored, we would have come back better and stronger next year and won it then. We didn't have the resources to do that back in 99. We would have almost certainly lost more players as we still had a sizeable wage bill and the club needed to cut down. There's no telling what it could have done to the club had we not won that game. Just look at Leeds United. Also the club had had a losing mentality for years and there was a dark cloud hanging over us all for some time, it was lifted in that one moment and we've never looked back.

Aguero's goal obviously felt better because it was a much much bigger achievement for the club. Obviously just being in the Second Division at the time was a huge embarrassment for the club let alone having to resort to the play offs, we should never have been anywhere near there. But the fact is we where and we needed someone to rescue us. Dickov did just that and kick started this incredible journey.

What goal was most important ?

Dickov because without that goal we may have not been in the position we are today - has we lost it this season we WOULD have won it at some point in the future.

Without DIckov's goal we would possibly be somewhere around where the Sheffield clubs are now. But winning the league is just so much better than winning the third division play offs.

When it comes to importance, Dickov's was alot more important. Who knows where we would be if that never happened. I could have handled not winning the league this season, but I coulden't of handled losing to Gillingham.

Dickov's goal will forever remain the most important goal in the clubs history...

Dickov

I remember thinking we would go into oblivion when we were 2-0 down. No money, players would leave and more games has Scunthorpe.

If we didn't with the league this season we would win it next season or the season after.

Agree 100%. One brought relief and hope, the other brought joy and fulfilment. Like most have said, we'd have been in contention again next season if we'd have missed out. If Dicky hadn't have scored and we went on to win, we could be leeds, pompey, sheff wed etc

Mod Note - this thread was originally "which did you enjoy more" until the OP edited the first post.
I cannot see the difference Mr Mod.
I saw blues celebrating just the same at both matches.
