I sat behind him on a recent flight to Dubai, most of the Leeds team were on it.
Was going to thank him for helping us down the road but did not want to bother him. One of the stewardesses asked Beckford if he was going to Everton, I wish I had a tenner on it!

Been told tonight by Latics supporting mates that he's on the shortlist for the managers job at Oldham (player-manager role)
And the general feeling amongst them is that they want him to get the job
I might have to start wanting them to win a few games if this comes off !
Agree totallly i think he could do a job as manager but i'm afraid Oldham are like 80% of English clubs out there. If things don't work out within 6 months then he will be sacked no matter what (success 1st then loyalty).
Just hope he is given a chance to develope and learn as he has most attributes to make a good man manager, and then maybe get another English manager with raw talent in the premiership (i.e Mr.Holloway and his seasiders)
