After the game they had a wrap up of the game and their panel of experts!,David Zdrilic and Ned Zelic(the first one a failed Aberdeen striker,the second one makes Paul Merson look like Brian Glanville).
They slagged off City's centre back pairing,warranted for Lescott.Zelic said "they are not good enough for this level,they were embarassed time and time again.",They've got to be the worst pairing in the competition",irony on irony,the rags pairing of Evans and Smalling were on next,not a word from these two then.If you think a lot of no talent,know nothings infest british football coverage,have a gander at this lot,thankfully Craig (thunderbirds puppet) Foster wasn't around.24 hours later I'm still fuming.
 
Mate I saw this and my jaw almost hit the floor. Zelic was spitting out some of the most nonsenical rubbish I have ever heard. For a pundit to declare that Lescott and Kompany are the worst pairing in the champions league (Worse than Romanian teams) is like some pissed up idiot at a pub. I think Zelic realised he was on some weird nonsensical rant and had to backtrack a little.

After the FA cup final last year I never watch SBS, unless I have to. Foster said De Jong was awful.... Do yourself a favour mate and take them for what they are.... fairly ignorant "experts"

HEY GENTS!! I'm pleased I'm not the only one to see this... my Dad and I were left fuming after that shithouse Zelic's comments. That panel is a disgrace and have probably only watched City play a couple of times. I have sent SBS a complaint and also some twitter line to Zelic saying how ridiculous his outbirst was. This is it now, everyone hates City - people forget that United and Chelsea bought success. When we watch City on Foxsports in the Premiership, usually Mark Bosnich and Robbie Slater give a good analysis.

Anyone actually remember Zelic as a football player?? Well he played 11 games for QPR before complaining about his knees getting dirty, he did play for Dortmund somehow with Matthias Sammer but also remembered for playing in that Aussie team that was the worst Aussie team in history.
 
just goes to show how much these so called experts know , but then again not many Aussies understand the game . dunno if you saw ch9 news last week they said Eddie jacko kicked a hatrick for Manchester city .. .

Its just annoying they get good money to analyse City games, but its pretty clear none of the SBS team see more than 2-3 City games a year.
 
I used to live over there and while I respect SBS for trying to promote the sport while the mainstream media would have none of it, some of the pundits were really bad. Zelic during the 2006 World Cup was dreadful, Orsatti would say "Almost out of time Ned, any thoughts on that?" and Zelic would reply, "Difficult to say, BUT..." and stall, visibly pissing off the host Orsatti (who is in America for ESPN nowadays I think?).
 
I watched it thursday morning. What an absolutely clueless twat that Zelic is. I've never had the pleasure of seeing his first class punditry before but this really was a new level even for the dross they wheel out over here for the football. He actually made Mark Bosnich and Robbie Slater look good!

Yeah I saw it too. Zelic is a bitter vile never was been. The coverage of us in general has been relentlessly negative and sniping on SBS. Simon hill is what is needed, at least he is a blue. One of the really enjoyable parts of qualifying for CL for me was to be able to be part of the SBS coverage and they really pissed me off with that ignorant rant. I was screaming 'but we had the joint best defensive record in the league last season you ignorant wanker". Not good in a house full of sleeping kids at 6am!
 
Zelic clearly hates City for some reason... His outburst was like a cross between Scarface and Alan Partridge. Zelic is hated by QPR fans as he was brought in after they sold Les Ferdinand. At the time Ray Wilkins said something like him being as versatile as an egg... clearly Wilikins only likes his eggs poached or fried.

I think Kompany is the best defender in the world and I think Lescott has improved in the last 6 months or so.
