Its true he as given something like 675,000 to his foundation, but while there it was also reported that he attacked an aid work while drunk in a casino, so I suppose there are 2 sides to everything.

In todays mirror Olliver Holt says that Bellemy paid for a soccer school to be built in Newtown,Sierra Leone at a cost of £450000, maybe he isnt that bad after all.

If it's true then it's probably the first thing Oliver Holt has ever got right and it's not lies or total bullshit

Maybe he'll fit in quite well at City then - hear me out!

My dad worked over in Sierra Leone for a few years after the war over there & his mate is a big city fan (my dads a red, but never manager to pursuade me to join the dark side).

Anyway, my dads mate helped set up the Sierra Leone branch of the supporters club & even re-mortgaged his house to bring one of the lads from there over to see a few games this time last year. The club were great, donating loads of kit & what have you & they've got their own academy set up over there.

And people say we're destroying football - nonsense, we're the best fans in the land & all the world!

Not a fan of Bellamy, but if this is true, then fair play to the lad, he's gone up a notch in my estimations.

I heard that story on the radio last year, a lad from SL came over to watch city and was talking about supporters clubs in his country.
i am sure he said he was staying in Reddish while he was in this country.

Aye, I think it was on GMR just before one of the home games last season (Spuds)? Did about a five minute interview with Tony & Armani. Who says we need a world superstar to get us recognition around the world. Just donate a few old kits to some enthusiastic kids in Africa, they'll make sure they get ya known!

The SL branch has a cracking flag don't they? The SL flag with the name on?

Yeah I think you're right. Can be seen on East stand Level Two sometimes, around Block 104.

Good to hear about a different side to our new striker.
And having worked with a relief organisation there in the mid 90s I know how valuable that contribution will be.

but I must say that i prefer this one about him...

As a 17-year-old novice with Norwich City, Bellamy was once locked into the toilet for 4 hours on the team bus after team-mates grew tired of his whining.

funny as f00k!
