Mind bending equations done at the speed of light to do that, amazing stuff, just beyond gobsmacking. The calculations done with all that gear working in harmony. It really is the beauty of science imo.
We were at our timeshare in Orlando when the last shuttle launch took place... gutted we didn’t drive to Cape Canaveral to see it close up but we saw it live with no sound... we could see the thing climbing but didn’t hear anythingUnbelievable that. I hope the other rocket landed ok on the drone ship.
Was fortunate to see the space shuttle take off live in 1996, something I’ll never forget.

Apologies for not tagging the launch in this thread.Incredible that we can now launch into space and return the carrier missile to earth safely for re-use.
