Did Darwin Kill God?

For your end of term essay I was going to set “Does love exist?” However, I though a more practical theme would be better.
Your partner asks if you love them and you answer “Of course I do, love!” What do you say when they say “Well prove It!”

N.B this presumes that you are not in a loveless relationship;
“And all I can do is keep on telling you
I want you
I need you
But -- there aint no way Im ever gonna love you
Now dont be sad
cause two out of three aint bad
Now dont be sad
cause two out of three aint bad.”

Should this be the case, “Prove that you as a person and not just your heart wants and needs the other person”.

Essays should be handed in by the time city win an away game. Happy Easter!

P.S. There is also a prize for the mathematicians/ philosophers among you who produce truth tables both for the fundamental Christian viewpoint and Dawkins propositions!

"so be it!" or as they say in certain circles- AMEN.

I also, as an end note, realise that I've foolishly taken on a debate that I have no real learning curve about. But, actually I've learned a lot and for that I'm grateful.

But, having said that this debate has not convinced me that there is no God. Why? Because I still have personal experiences that you science heads cannot do any tests on, but I know are real, since I've lived through them.

The 'Tunnel of Light' experience, the 'visions of my future' experiences and one 'Guiding Hand' experience. All beyond the realms of 'measurable' science. There are no mathematics involved, no physics(I can't TRULY add chemistry cos I don't know the possible involvements), no archaeology, nothing a scientist can test.

Yet, I've experienced these and because you haven't experienced such things I must be 'deluded', a 'liar' or simply that YOU don't believe it because of the lack of experience on your own behalf.

Science is cold, hard fact of the real world. Yet, the Human Being is made up of things not just on the real plane. There's something more and if you CHOOSE to be one dimensional in your existence, well that's up to you.

I choose to [be] receptive to Life as it's been given to me.

chatting with a pal last night while drinking wine and we came to wondering if god was gay.

it's no big deal nowadays but back then there would have been a lot more stigma about such things pre-stigmata.

it's just that we couldn't think of one mention of god (the christian one, that is) having a wife so perhaps it was all kept hush hush like barry manilow.

Back when? Did he die?
