Did it bother anyone that we started with NO...

Sitting in my seat after the 7th goal went in yesterday, I was thinking what negative, pathetic, neanderthal, moaning shite thread would be posted on here to dampen the jubilant spirits.
Congratulations...you are the winner.

PS. No.

People were getting fairly arsey about it whenever it was mentioned yesterday (and today it seems), but yes I think it's concerning. Not because I think we're doing anything wrong, which is the first conclusion most are jumping to when the question is asked (and invariably the angle the narrow minded hacks will take), but because arguably the best side in the division is genuinely struggling to recruit or train high enough quality English players.

One things for sure, the next home grown player we end up buying is going to cost us a comparative fortune.

Only because it gives the media another stick to beat us with.

But if it meant we won the title, I would be happy to see 11 oompa-loompas run out for us!

At least we've got an English manager..............................

Bit unfair mate, the OP was only asking a question most of us were thinking about anyway.

I thought about it but it comes down to one thing, I'm a City fan & couldn't give a rats arse about England & never have.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

We are the only club to win the league with an all English team anyway.

There were English players on the bench

However in answer to the question not really, the malaise in English talent has been going on for a long time before we hit the jackpot.

I refuse to accept that a country with the population the size of the UK whose national sport is football, does not have kids who with the right coaching could be the best in the world. The FA has woken up to this fact and slowly things are changing it's about time too!

Yes it did bother me a bit . Always`s think the likes of Milner should get a game . Milner did a decent job against Everton when he started .

Who would you leave out then for Jimmy.
