I'm sorry but there's no way those two would have signed contracts without knowing the managerial situation beforehand, especially considering the two received relatively little game time under Hughes.

they hardly broke the story, all media outlets knew he was finished on Saturday morning.

the frigging Sun didn't even mention Mancini so can't have been too "in the know".
 
He not only knew but he made the final call to sack MH. In between drawing up his list of preferred targets for January, postulating over a new defensive strategy and trying to sort out the fucking catering at COMS.
