Cook said we looked into replacing Hughes 3 weeks ago and offered Mancini after Spuds game, Mancini said he had med Khaldoon 2 weeks ago and he was offered job after Spuds game.

Yet the press seem to have ignored the facts for a good story, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised...

i know, it's hilarious.

The Sun claim we lied because Mancini said he met Khaldoon 2 weeks ago and Cook said it was Thursday after Spurs - well i watched the whole press conference and Cook quite clearly said that after Hull game we started looking at contingencies which obviously involved speaking to Hiddinck's agent as well as Mancini.

Offered the job after Spurs game, where's the problem with that?

You couldn't make this stuff up, well actually they do! I watched the press conf again this morning, because I assumed I had missunderstood and it's pretty clear. HayHo I guess this is one way for Cook to get a large part of the fanbase on his side.

Thought i'd gone insane when i saw this mornings headlines i could have sworn Cook had said we started looking after the Hull game obviously none of the press did. If people don't see that there is an agenda against us after this they never will.

I think its them not Cook who may be in danger. Any more and City could and perhaps should ban certain media/reporters from conferences etc until they agree to a proper balanced view and not continue to make up crap with no qoutes or sources

You're right, we shouldn't talk to them. They lie and talk us down anyway. It couldn't get any worse if we stopped talking to them. And as for Cook being shown the door because of his alleged treatment of them, if anything their silly arse hysterics and lies ast night and this morning has saved him any lasting criticism because their behaviour has been so much more inept and inappropriate than his ever was. Bleating knobheads. Boo Hoo.
