Did we miss Adam Jonhson tonight ?

Neither AJ or SWP wuld have made a difference tonight.

Arguable as one of Johnson's runs and balls across the box could have found Dzeko, who everyone else decided to ignore today as if he wasn't there.

Seriously, so I think that we did miss Johnson. Could the game have been a lot different with him? Maybe.

If Johnson doesn't play it always feels like we need him and imagine he would have made the difference. But how many times have we seen him play the 90 mins and he doesn't make that difference. Ok 2 or 3 times he's come on and grabbed one and therefore has done it but until he starts consistently getting crosses into the danger area then the verdicts still out on him for me.

Did we miss Johnson? Probably not. St Andrew's is a very tough place to go to and we did well to get a point and nearly win the game. Just look at Brum's home results over the last year. It's impressive.

We're trying to make a name for ourselves yet can't beat a 17th place team at home.
Shame.

Apparently we can't beat 14th and 15th place teams either.

It's not even the fact that we don't beat them, it's that we concede to them. Not just 1 goal. But often a few slip through our cracks.

We are a new team though. Our players have been together for less than 6 months. Of course we are going to have bad games. Likes of utd, arsenal and chelsea have been together for for years now and understandably they are better at keeping the leads as they have been in these situations a lot more. Don't worry though as our time will come soon.

as an impact sub definitely yes.

their full backs were easy to beat, we had no width at all.

we lack width, it's to one dimensional, we play to narrow, hence the reason we can't break teams down.

We scored twice and should have had at least one penalty.

I would take three goals away from home nearly all the time.

Its our inability to keep clean sheets that has cost us valuable points lately.

If we can keep clean sheets especially at home we should be able to keep Spurs at bay.

Your points are still valid though , we do lack pace out wide and we are too easy to predict going forward without some pace and creativity in midfield.

Some chinkering at the back and a couple of players to address the lack of width in the summer and we should be better placed to mount a more serious challenge to the top three next season.
