did you expect us to win the title?

I thought 2nd, so we have almost definitely achieved that.
Saying that, a win against the Arse and United drop points at QPR and it is back in our hands. Stranger things have happened you know!!

When I first saw Kun, definitely yes.

He's turned out to be a fantastic player, if not a little less than clinical in front of goal. But in that first game against Swansea I thought OMG we have signed Messi and he'll get 35 this season.

When you look at the quality we have though, not winning it would be a major disappointment. And to be honest, under achievement.

I expected us to be up there, with a good chance, and after the 6-1 I thought we were hot favourites, and would go from strength to strength.

Since 2012 though, it feels like typical City all over again, its still not gone. If we don't win it, I'll be really disappointed.

Pre season? No. I'd have taken a 2nd position and a decent tilt at the title. However when it got to Christmas and we'd been so good, and hammered pretty much everyone that were deemed a threat to us, then yes I expected we'd go on an win the Premier League. There was no way to predict just how awful our away form was going to become. What makes it so galling is that, even with just average away form, we'd have walked it. 2 wins from our last 9 away games simply isn't good enough, not for a title challenge, not even for a Champion's League qualification challenge. Our early season away form, and almost impeccable home form, have kept us where we are.
This for me.

I thought 2nd and we are going to get 2nd. However if this a veiled attempt to make us all believe that we should be happy then it's failed.

Five years ago I would have been happy with us winning anything in my lifetime but goalposts shift over the passage of time and this is one of those occasions.

What I would have settled for before I knew what was going to happen shortly after is irrelevant I'm afraid.

5th.4th,3rd,2nd.

We know where were going next season...

I expected us to challenge. Then a months into the season thought we would walk it. Baconface has to retire sometimes and oil money can buy more titles than debt.

I said to a mate in work pre-season I would be happy with 2nd and then balls out next season to win it,after the start we had I did think for a while we would do it this year, but after the WBA game the doubt began to creep in,will still settle for 2nd this year if I have to,even though it's going to hurt like fuck because it's that scum, but next year I want it so fucking badly I can taste it now !

Been in and around the game for too long to "expect" anything. I always have "hope" sometimes it's stronger than others but there's always some level of hope. As soon as it's mathematically impossible this season I'll start hoping for next. And they say that it's better to travel in hope than to arrive.
