Didsbury - "Eat In" food recomendations ?

OP I hope your not booked at the waterside for this weekend, it's currently underwater, had an email from them tonight saying they will be shut for a while, I think the gods were trying to tell me something about my January gym plams

Lime Tree on Lapwing Lane is usually good but not guaranteed like it used to be.

Shame you’re not interested in Indian because Indique and Great Kathmandu are as good as any. Technically the Kathmandu is Nepalese so not Indian if you can tell the difference.

If you like Middle Eastern, I would recommend Zena on Burton Road.

Thanks everyone, sadly the hotel have cancelled on me (flood damage apparantly), so I'm now staying in/near Worsley.

You’re in luck. There’s a delightful little restaurant there called ‘George’s Dining Room and Bar’

If you’re really in luck, you may even get to meet the owner. Lovely chap I believe.

Anywhere except there!!! :-) You @Stephen230 are being a wind up merchant young man. Tut tut.

If you are staying at the Hullo hotel, @cleavers, Albert’s Restaurant is attached to it and serves good food. Great staff as well.
If you are staying at the Marriott, Worsley Old Hall is on the same ‘complex’ and good food again.
If you are staying at the Novotel the John Gilbert is next door just a two minute walk away.
Or there is The Bridgewater, serves food although I’ve not been in there for a while.

You definitely don’t want to go in Gigg’s place though! Do you? ;-)

Been in many times but not for about 17/18 years. Very nice guy who ran it then, not sure of his name, small guy looked Italian. The food was gorgeous. That's where I used to take my sorts back in the day when I lived over that way. Seen the family man and toe sucker coming out of it once just as I was entering..I just snarled at the ****s.
