The humor is directly derived from the bad taste of the song. If you were to ask the Chelsea fans their reasons for singing the song I doubt many would respond 'because I really wish he had died in the tunnel', far more likely would be the response 'because I thought it was funny'.
I'm not saying that I find it particularly hilarious but erm yeah... I'm sure Ronaldo's feelings aren't hurt too much.
