Let's hope so, what paper was this in? For some reason it seems to me the Spanish press would less likely to just make stuff up about clubs other than Real/Barca's transfers.

Man City set to land cut-price Atletico Madrid ace
Manchester City are closing in on Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin, according to reports in Spain.
The cash-strapped Spanish club are desperate to raise funds and the fee received from Godin's departure would ease the pressure.
City boss Roberto Mancini is keen to bolster his defence before the transfer window shuts and Godin fits the bill.
The 26-year-old Uruguay international is a key member of the Atletico rearguard and widely regarded as one of the best central defenders in La Liga.
And it has been suggested that Premier League champions City could get Godin for a knockdown price of £8million - and are close to finalising the deal.
