I don't think it's him. He also played (and scored against Atletico) in the La Liga late kick-off the night before our game, which finished around midnight. Not that this means he couldn't have flown over for our game after sleeping, but seems a bit implausible.

First post here so apologise if this turns out to be a timewaster but can anyone confidently identify this bloke?

This photo was taken by my brother at last nights game. the guy turned up shortly after kick off yesterday sitting in Block 131. He was wearing a city security pass and was accompanied by 2 security fellas the whole time. He was then escorted away with about 10 mins to go.

my brother said he looked short of six foot and around 25/26 years old. me and some lads from work were having a look and think he defo looks a bit like coentrao.

I know this could be nothing but if he was at the club having a look around and we wanted to keep it on the quiet, they obviously wouldn't want him sat in the posh seats where the tv cams are on the lookout and they actually sat him in one of the least covered areas in terms of tv cameras. having security guys sat with him for the duration of the game is clearly also not normal.

Anyone else think there could be something to this???

Completely different coloured hair, different eyebrow shapes and different ear shapes as well... I would put money on this not being the same person.

Don't know when the "interview" pic was taken where his hair looks black, but after a summer in the sun it could really lighten up. That's what happens to mine. But perhaps were are taking this detective work a bit too far. If it is him, and I think it is, and I had to wager his reasons for being there, I'd guess he was simply watching his mates . . . unless he's thinking of making the switch to CB.

Guy in the thread said because it was a low key area of the stadium where the TV camera's wouldn't be looking. Definitely think it's interesting that some young looking guy was accompanied by two security guys and then leaves ten minutes before the match is over and no one knows who he is
