Wow I didn't see any stories like this coming. Especially not on derby day
are you still here raggy?oscarG said:I'm not pelles biggest fan, but just don't see a better option out there. Hopefully he can turn our form round starting today with a win. Simeone has done well in Spain very hot headed and good in the transfer market, but getting him would be like going full circle! We stick with pelles for me and wait for a proven winner and top coach like guardiola, low or ancelotti to become available.
fully agree. Pelles is not a long term manager. I will be surprised if he is still here for more than 2 more seasons (he won't be here for next season if the current form continues till May). Don't get me wrong I think he is great and we should stick by him, but our next appointment should be one of the aforementioned big hitters.oscarG said:I'm not pelles biggest fan, but just don't see a better option out there. Doesn't Siimeone have a reputation as a bit of a hot head similar to Mancini. Would be surprised if the owners, if looking for a new manager in the near future, would look at him after what they said about wanting some calmness about the club.
Hopefully Pellegrini can turn this recent poor form around starting today.

Diego Simeone identified as Pellegrini's ideal successor at City, reports @robshepherd5 <a class="postlink" href="http://dailym.ai/13tdESp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://dailym.ai/13tdESp</a>
Diego Simeone will emerge as the front-runner to become Manchester City's next boss if Manuel Pellegrini does not turn the club’s fortunes around.
I understand that despite landing the title and the Capital One Cup in his first campaign, there are already mutterings around the club that Pellegrini is not moving the team on, especially given disappointing displays in the Champions League again this season.
If City fail to qualify for the knockout phase and fall away in the Premier League title race then Pellegrini will face the axe at the end of the season.
With the prospect of luring Pep Guardiola from Bayern Munich or Jose Mourinho from Chelsea unlikely, Simeone has been identified by those close to City’s Arab owners as the ideal successor, given his brilliant work at Atletico Madrid on a relatively small budget.

Atletico are like my second team now (girlfriend supports) so I watch a lot of Atleti games. While simeone is a hot head like Mancini he is a terrific man manager. He will fight against other teams, rival managers, refs etc but never his own players. He acts like a father figure to them.
