Wow that's an old name he was a top talent brilliant playmaker with flair who never quite reached his potential so just below the elite level, at his best a great passer with great technique who scored great goals and was very important at Santos where he was Robinho's teammate, probably why many here talked about him at the time thinking a reunion was possibly on the cards, he would've been in immense form at the time but Juventus got him where I remember him not being used properly.

I watched a fair bit of him back in the day when I used to watch a lot of foreign leagues I'd have loved him back then, he was unbelievable at Werder Bremen very talented with a piss poor attitude that got him in trouble typical Brazilian, unless he had a terrible injury seems like he was past it after 25 not totally sure why but he was a very exciting player, with odd glimpses of his potential ability here when I saw hiim later it looks like he had a poor career compared to what it should've been with his early promise.

Shows nothing has changed in 14yrs...."players who might improve us" is full of 'not used properly, but class' type players. He was a bang average player like 99% in that thread, and that's being kind. His career shows exactly how good he was, about Adam Johnson level ;)
