Different reactions to City and Arsenal defeats

Yaya Toure blasted Hamann in his latest press conference. I believe Hamann had an axe to grind when he made these strange comments that Barcelona outclassed us. There's a lot of biased pundits out there, but there's also some balanced and respectable ones, e.g. Jamie Rednapp, Martin Keown and Martin Lawrenson.

All depends where you look, Ian Cheeseman tweeted a very pro-City article last night.

You need to find opposing views from the same source to prove your point. Sure there'll be one somewhere.

Personally think City have a better chance overturning their game than Arsenal based purely on the teams' recent scoring records, but some will point to Arsenal's CL experience and may see it the other way.

Lol... That was a blog post from his son- A city fan

Exactly. The Bleacher Reports report on our game was more or less as we all saw it. Said we contained them well and kept them at arms length, and the downfall was the sending off. Nothing bad in that.
This is the problem here Pidge, we cant get a fair write up off the English press but we do from the American press, are the English press Shit or Biased? (I already know the sunburn are both)
The OP brought the Bleacher Report into it. And our friend above has already mentioned Cheeseman's report. At the end of the day though, who cares either way? We know how we played and i'm not sure about you, but I was proud of how we dealt with Barca both before and after the sending off.
Very proud, I actually thought we shaded the match overall and just didn't put away our chances and I don't think we're out of the tie either.

The Bleacher Report aren't usually as sensationalist as some, but that's still a big difference. And Hamann went down a notch in my book when I read his article.

Don't know why but Hamann has got an ever growing chip on his shoulder when it comes to city.

Me neither, but if report A doesn't favour us as much as report B, it doesn't take away anything from what actually happened, and what we saw to make our own minds up. This is why I couldn't care less about the media, whether what they say is good or bad. I prefer to make my own mind up and if someone isn't capable of doing that and believes what is written by a 3rd party, well that's up to them if they want to be that weak minded. For all I care the press could stop reporting anything about us, it won't change things either way.

It's probably because we're in more direct competition with the red dippers again, he was the same or similar the year spurs beat us to top 4 IIRC. That and as an earlier poster said Yaya told him where to go.

Usually I won't react too much one way or the other, I make up my own mind based on what I see, but after getting back and watching a re-run of the barca game last night and then hearing the difference in reaction from commentary between MDM's red card and Sczecesny's Red I got a bit over-heated I must admit :). Fuck it, we'll ram it down their throats and sooner rather than later imo.

I read the BBC live report and it oozed positivity and when they reached the sending off it redoubled its sympathetic agenda. The difference in reporting the two matches was STARK! MD was vilified for gettin sent off and the arse red card at worst wrung a few hands at best and he was awarded the night's total wheelbarrowful of sympathy! Don't anyone tell me there is no agenda in the British rag meedya! Just wait till Spurs start their campaign in Europe again and they will be granted the same 'let's support a British team' shite that is never applied to City!

You label it the 'rag meedya', yet then say they favour Arsenal and now Spurs. How does that even work?
