Diogo Jota & his brother Andre have died in a car crash

Just heard on the radio that their funerals are tomorrow. That’s quick, and whilst it may bring a bit more closure for the family, I can’t get my head around how 48 hours ago he was planning his drive back to England, and tomorrow he will be laid to rest. Absolutely unbearable to even begin to understand.
It’s the norm in Spain and Portugal. Now im an FOC living in Spain my family are on standby to get here rapido when the time comes. Hopefully it’s not imminent !

Neves one of the guys carrying the coffin must have gone straight from yesterdays game.
Have you read his tribute? That is some heartfelt, best friend stuff right there. That’s some going, playing the game under those circumstances, flying across the world in time for this morning. The definition of a true, loyal best pal.

It’s beautifully written they bonded when they both came to wolves in the championship it’s so heartbreaking.

Our own Bernardo Silva visibly upset as was Dias. How hard must it have hit those lads from not just the PL teams he played for but the National team as well. Plus his brother's team. How his parents are coping I can't imagine. I know how bad I felt when my younger brother died last year so how I would be if it were one of my 'children' I don't know.
RIP boys.

Really sad news. Great player who was having the time of his life having won a Premier League title and then getting married 2 weeks ago.

Poor Wife and Children, can't believe what they must be going through right now.

Shows you just how precious life is. Never take anything for granted, don't moan about the trivia and enjoy every minute.

Really surprised Ronaldo was not at the funeral.
Being captain and main person of the national team.

Read something before that said he’s purposely stayed away so it doesn’t turn into a circus, which it would by the press. A wise decision.
I’m not his biggest fan but sadly he’s right.
There shouldn’t be cameras anywhere near any funeral and if he turned up there’d be plenty more, most of which would be pointing at him.
I’m sure he’s as devastated as anyone else.
It was probably discussed with the family and decided it was for the best.

Just noticed a certain post got removed. Good.
This isn’t a Liverpool thing, this is a human thing.
If it's the one you replied to, it was a shitty post. Yours was deleted because you quoted it, by the way. No point deleting the original post, then leaving yours in situ, where others can see it.

And it wasn't me who deleted either post, by the way!

Same in Ireland I think. I went to a few funerals over there recently and they were within a few days of the person passing away

Pretty much. My parents were both buried within 3 days of their passing. Funerals will generally only take longer if family members have to travel a long way to attend the funeral (America, Australia etc).
Yes, same as my Auntie and Uncle
