Can someone please explain why if you're disabled you get to park in a lot of places for free? I agree with special disabled places nearer to entrances etc, but why should it be free?

Disabled - less able - less able to work - less work - less money.

Why don't those with cars and unemployed get 'Unemployed' spaces for free? But over the other side of the car park away from the doors.

From what I read that's a life style choice

You have to prove you are very disabled to get a badge,they don't just hand them out to all disabled people.That group rely on very little money and can't get work to boost their income on a permanent basis,fit and able to work don't get it free because they can always do cash in hand etc to get money

Another one with no idea about being disabled and the benefits recieved and all the additional care costs needed just to function and get out of the house
Disabled people are not less likely to work,they can't work and are getting by on a very low fixed income

I'm fairly certain that if you have a blue badge you also get free vehicle tax as well as discounts on cars via your mobility allowance?
