KEO brewery did a beer here a few years ago called 5 Beer ( cos it was 5%) was really nice and malty, however didn't win the masses over. Disappeared after a few months. Shame as I liked it.

O.B. bitter(oldham brewery) nice gear that was. long gone now though :0(

Many of these 'great' brews mentioned are like having sex on a punt- fucking close to water- and are not missed by many. This is like a discussion on the merits of different breads being limited to a choice between Mothers Pride, Slimcea, Nimble and Warburtons white sliced. Or cheese between Dairylea and Philadelphia.

Not a real ale, but lager - can anybody remember Elephant Beer??

I think it was brewed by Carlsberg (now gonna check on google)

Oh yeah...... disappearing beers - Stella Artois.

Been replaced by some shite tasting 5.0% stuff, masquerading as the real 5.2% stuff.

I remember when Stella Artois was "reassuringly Expensive" (as the adverts used to say!!)

Draft was 5.0% when cans were 5.2%

I had two pints cans of 5.1% Stella from a corner shop outside St Mary's (Soton) about 6 or 7 years ago, but never seen it before or since.
