Discount on usold Tickets 24 hours before kick off

Oh no too much common sense that club would rather leave a seat empty than sell at a lower price. You're not thinking Super League mentality!!!

City have had a great history of offering discounts on tickets
Back at Maine road they sometimes did kids for a quid
They also discounted prices to people on the dole
Since at the Etihad they have carried on with that tradition Hamburg is a great example, Cup games & Champions league game as well
They also did buy one get one free
Coorperate hospitality quite often also give duscount on tickets
So asking if one or two games a season where the oposition isn't a crowd puller should we consider knocking tickets out a few bob cheaper 24 hours befor the match isn't exactly a new venture ,it is only an extension of what the club already do

Give them to the University, there are plenty of penniless students who would jump at the chance to watch us.

For certain games if we have loads of tickets left 24 hour befor kickoff would it be a bad business model to offload them cheap ?
Airlines, Hotels,Restaurants,Supermarkets,Holliday companies & am sure other sporting bodies also offer discount to get shut if they not selling well
Not talking about a regular thing but if it obvious a night game against say Burnley ain't selling well would you rather fans got tickets at a discount or the Club didn't get any revenue for un sold tickets
It would make business sense as people buying tickets might also buy other stuff in the ground
If say 500 were sold at £20 each it is a few extra bob in the coffers
Supose some will think it a good idea while people paying full price won't
Enough

Aye a brilliant plan to allow resident tightwads to hold off buying tickets until the last minute. That will also clog up the ticket office and lines and prevent those with genuine issues from getting through.

To sell more tickets, it would be better to put more resources into ticketing and get rid of some of the obvious bottlenecks in the system.
This is bang on, talking to a guy last night, Blackpool supporter but likes to take him and his lad to watch City now and again, never had any problems before, said it was a fuckin nightmare trying to get sorted for the Southampton game, he stuck with it and got sorted, most would have just binned it off.
Hard to believe this club is so good on the pitch and so shit off it.

Bernard Halford is still in charge.

£15 last week, £10 next week, it is not the price putting people off. It was £17 cash the gate at the Kippax for an all 2nd tier League Cup game 20 years ago.

The people most concerned about filling the ground tend to not go themselves.

Can the incentive not be for season ticket holders, reward the best attendees, each STH can register say 5 people & should there be surplus tickets then discount them appropriately, the season ticket holders will already be attending the game (and maybe share travel etc) and if they could incorporate a seat swap then happy days. What with digital tickets etc it can’t be that hard to set up & may encourage/give opportunity for blues to bring along the next generation of fans

stop charging kids in excess of 40 quid for tickets, strangely when it costs a working man on minimum wage up to 3 days work to take his family to 90 minutes of football, those people have to pick and choose there games carefully. City are supposedly an all inclusive club, lower the prices for league games, remember the clubs roots, and what made the club special, concentrate on your core supporters, tourists come and go.
