When all is said and done we are only 3 points off the top spot, yes it could have been better we have dropped points we should not have, still not bad all things considered
True enough. The start to the season has actually given me more confidence we can win the title. Nobody else is setting the league alight, although Chelsea - who I thought would win it at the start of the season, might be starting to come good now unfortunately, but we've played the best football in the league so far. If we pick up some away form via the virtue of not conceding so much, we should win it.

4 away games on the trot should tell us all we need to know, especially the game on the 27th at the Bridge after a midweek trip to Moscow.

We learn with each game and I am one of those one game at a time types and don't like to look too far forward but it is fair to say that 4 away games on the trot could be very instructive.

West Ham away just got a tad more interesting. What sort of meltdown would this site be in if we had lost three zip at home to the 'ammers?

Not arsed if we go out of the League Cup but a draw in Moscow and four points from the other two would satisfy me.

Draw in Moscow and 4 points in the league would be ok if we progress in the league cup. 1 win in 4 would be a big disappointment.

Here's the plan according to Ferran ... deals with formations, the club's ethos, decision making etc. Know it's been posted before but it's worth a read in light of recent discussions about the manager, his responsibilities, etc.

Agreed. Although not particularly bothered about the league cup, my sentiments were more to do with us needing to get some sort of away form together and 4 on the trot is ample opportunity.

We really need a good clear return on our international players' fitness after this round of games.

I posted on here a few weeks ago about remembering that we were quoted as supposedly following a 4-3-3 identity. I think that system would be a much better fit for us, especially if we can unload Dzeko so that there's not the burden on MP of having 4 strikers.

Love the question of "Why are England rubbish?"
