37 clean sheets in his tenure to date and a goalkeeper winning the golden glove award says your claim he is unable to set up a defence is spurious to say the least.

Thats just league games.

Granted its not functioning as we all want now and neither is our attack but there are known reasons why.

If you think Pellegrini can setup a defence then let's end the debate now, I'm not wasting my time.

The last 6 seasons have been absolutely incredible they really have under first Bob and now Pellegrini.

They also share a common theme in that we never made it easy for ourselves in any of them and at one point or more in the season, we had crap games, crap results, crap runs and at various times, folk on here, myself included saying we had no chance but come the end of each season, somehow the players and manager be it Bob or Pellegrini had sent us on an incredible run of games and results and we finished strong and on a couple of occasions, with the ultimate prize.

Never have we had a perfect season, never, yet we are still unable to look back over a short space of time and just give them the benefit of the doubt and say, yeah its crap right now but they will pull it round, they always do.

They will do it again this season, just watch.

You are right in what you say but this time is different, there is far too much wrong & the players are not battlers like in the past, at least the ones who are taking to the pitch at the moment. Of course I hope you're right & I'm wrong.

I didn't make that stat up.

I will concede that under Bob, we were tighter at the back but do you know how many goals we conceded per match avg under Bob and the number for Pellegrini?

I will give you a clue and the answer isn't all that different.

The last 6 seasons under BOTH managers have been remarkably similar.

You basically have to measure a manager on how his teams progress! He won the league and cup double first season playing the best football I have ever seen from a city team! He also seemed to have the backing and liking of every player! His only problem was his tactics in the big games! This has not changed 2 season later also the players don't seem to be giving him the same backing! His style of play is roughly the same but there has been no improvement since that first season in any of the things I have talked about! Which points to a need to freshen things up!

Something is very wrong,i realise he has limitations as regards player availability but we have no shape and,what appears,no game plan whatsoever......its a fucking shambles.Second half about to start,lets see how he has decided to remedy the situation.....?
