All this talk about replacing him, we might win the remaking games of the season yet
Which, for me, wouldn't change the situation at all. This season hasn't just been a disappointment, it's been a catalogue of poor performances, failed opportunities, tactical mistakes and a seeming inability to motivate the squad. You name it Pellegrini has failed to do it.

Bollocks.
He's got you there Matty.

One thing Pellegrini hasn't failed to do this year is turn us to utter bollocks

We could win the last six games and we could still finish 2nd(though highly unlikely), but I think that a lot of fans minds have been made up that they don't want Pellers here next year, I personally am neither here nor there if he stays then get behind him and the clubs football management team need help him sort this slump out, if he goes then I would prefer Klopp over Ancelotti as I see him more of a long term stratergy, and if Pep is available I would be happy with either. I would also love to see Joachim Löw and Antonio Conte try their hand in the premier league though not necessarily with us

As for the exec team they employ a football mangement team to look after the footballing side, I would hardly see sorano in the firing line as that side of it is only part of his remit, tixi, pellers his coaching team and the players are the ones that would need to jujstify their contracts
Low would settle in the premier league easily and I'd take him every day of the week.conte may struggle( 3 at the back generally hasn't been successful in the premier league) but I would love to see him have a go over here

Bollocks, perhaps, up until December, but 2015 I'd say he has a very good point.

Not bollocks at all.

Whoever takes over, I want to see us press like this.

That's a Schmidt team btw, a coach who has outshone Klopp completely of late.

Definitely not bollocks. Not a single player in the squad has improved under pellergrini. No youth team players have stepped up. New signings haven't been settled or integrated. He is piss poor tactically and has clearly lost the players. Sooner he's out the better

He's managed 40 games at Leverkusen.

Let's give him a few years before power wanking over him yet ;)

From who?

Ferran runs Manchester City. He is the boss. Sheikh Mansour is the owner; he doesn't run the company. He could potentially remove anybody he liked but why would he?

People have an incredibly simplistic view of how City works. It's a business, you don't sack all of your management and executive team because they made a bad decision or Crystal Palace beat us. They are judged over 5 year periods not 5 months.
Obviously if you judge Ferran on his entire tenure he's doing an excellent job.

But can you say if you judge Txiki on his can you say the same thing?

I'd say he's done a good job, not outstanding. I think you can see the logic in all of his signings, whether or not they've all worked and come to fruition. I think you can say the academy side, where he's had a role in signings there and the restructuring of the staff, has worked wonders. I think he's done well on the sales side, and the way he conducts his business, and the way our transfer dealings now get portrayed in the press, and his whole contribution to CFG and building our brand, which in his direct and indirect contributions he's played a key role in, has moved us forward strongly as a club. So I think he's done a good, if not outstanding job, with his main remit, first team recruitment, not quite firing on all cylinders, but not baffling at the same time.

This summer is critical to people's perceptions of his contribution though, that's for sure. Even for me, with some of the names we're rumoured to be after, which concern me. With the shackles off, and all the tools he needs at his disposal, he needs a good success rate on both capturing big players and on them being a success. He's been juggling eggs the past year or so, now he gets to chuck them at whoever he pleases, I just hope it isn't overly English, and especially not Wilshere or Henderson.
There's some points there I agree with for sure but I think there could be some black marks too.

Fernando - can only play in a 3 yet surely Txiki knows how likely Manuel is to play that.

Mangala - overpaid but oh well.

The lack of a seamless transition from EDS tactics to first team - We could develop the best young winger in the country, the best unshackeled box to box midfielder, the best lone striker and have no place for them in the team.

Nastasic - what even happened there? I'm not saying it's Txiki's remit wholly but you have to wonder how we take a very highly rated young player.

Jovetic - for me the worst mistake. Dropped from the Champions League club after not being sold as he was told he had a future here.

Bony - where does he fit in when we've left 4-4-2 behind or does he mean we never can.

Would never work against a top side.
