Disorder on the increase at Football Games

Football as always reflects society. At the moment I'm on holiday in Tenerife. I've been here a few weeks. I've never seen so many fucking idiots out here and that isn't just the kids it's people 50+. Fucking cretins with no respect for anybody or anything, just smashed out of their heads.
Certain areas or the whole of South Tenerife? I was there in October and back for week at end of month. I tend to drink more during the day, and find a quiet little bar to just chill out in. Don't see the point in sitting in a euro a pint bar when you can get a decent drink for about 2 euro anyway

I drink at night as I like live music so it tends to be a bit rowdier. Like you I pay more for bitter rather than drink the local lager for 2-3 Euro's I'll pay 4-5 Euro's for a pint of bitter.

I was there in October too. What tends to happen at night is the all inclusive mob get smashed in their hotel then barge into the bars just as the entertainment is starting, buy one drink and want to jostle and squeeze out people who've been in there all night. I drink around Parque La Plaz or the patch, so it's not youngsters there on the whole. Some are so smashed they just aren't rational and I'm amazed they carry on. I like a drink but a lot of the behaviour I've seen this holiday has been on another level.

I probably miss it as I usually stay in Los Cris also. I did go down the patch but usually daytime so all inclusive were probably not out so early. I found a nice little bar at back of Puerto Colon to spend a day in. Apart from when football is on I usually avoid the busier bars

There are a few bars do live music in the day, the Billy on the patch and the Calypso bar, though you have to book that one as all the expats get in there.

I keep moaning about the demonisation of football fans.

We keep being told to sit down, shut up, walk over there or you’ll get truncheoned, don’t sing that, you can’t sing that, don’t be homophobic, stop being racist… when most football fans behave perfectly reasonably at every game, nearly all football fans do not chant homophobic songs, nearly all football fans are not racist… yet we keep getting the finger pointed at us to stop being these things.

Does my head in.
Always a minority of idiots who spoil things for the rest of us.

I'm a 5ft 4 disabled woman. I'm autistic, I have fibromyalgia/arthritis, which means I have chronic pain. I'm not exactly going to come off well in a fight. I haven't been to Goodison in years and part of it is because of the violence at matches, especially when we play Newcastle or Liverpool.

Jesus. Wish you all the best with all that going on for you.

Hasn’t been for years. I’m not sure why but there’s a reason we barely sell away tickets for Anfield. Social media hasn’t helped.
