Before COVID the HMRC were going after taxi and restaurants companies, don’t know what the current situation is. However now we have digital VAT there is a propensity to link taxi meters and restaurant tills directly to the HMRC, it will happen.

I recall a senior detective who worked on the Savile case saying recently that the police have for years been trying to feel the collar of another well-known public figure for serious sexual misconduct but had been repeatedly stymied by insufficient evidence to bring the matter before the courts.
