Around the market place and Underbank, etc, I agree. Lot’s of decent bars popping up plus there’s Foodie Friday. The Mekong Cat is a quality little restaurant as well.

The town centre is the issue. It’s an eyesore. Merseyway needs flattening. Get the river exposed and build a load of canal side restaurants and bars.
