With us needing a new centre back and Distin wanting to leave, we could get him for as little as £5m. He can play at left back as well so he could be a Lescott alternative. I hold no anger at Distin for leaving us as, if you look at it from his perspective, he wanted to further his career. When speaking to the guy who sits next to me at matches, he told me that Distin came into his restaurant and told him why he had to leave, not for the money. I feel that a few of the papers may pick up on the story and perhaps he would be a good signing?

I don't have a problem with Distin. He signed a five-year contract and saw it out. He let himself be wound up a couple of years ago though.

Agree on both counts mate, there's no way I would want that twat back at City. Dunne on the other hand deserves to stay after 9 years loyal service and will still do a job for us albeit maybe not first choice.
