Divine Mukasa

Yeah Mukasa has only just turned 17, don’t think he’ll be anywhere near the first team for at least 18 months or so. Hopefully we get a few more in the squad against Salford though - perhaps Mfuni, Oboavwoduo and Alfa-Ruprecht
Possibly get couple on the bench, not sure who but recent training pics show Jacob Wright, Max Alleyne, Seb Naylor, Lakyle Samuel and Charlie Gray with first team and the lads you mention with EDS training. Not sure if that can be read into possibly not but I imagine first team staff select training group. I imagine maybe Wright and Alleyne could make squad

Arsenal started a 17 year old last night who IMO does not have the same ability as Mukasa, do you remeber the old sayin? if you are good enough you are old enough, he is better than several on the bench.

If you’re talking about Nwaneri then he’s a far better player than Mukasa is currently - he’s been with the Arsenal first team squad since he was 15 and is probably the most highly rated teenager in the country right now.

Your spot on, and no deistespect to Mukasa as development is not linear so he could well end up better than Nwaneri, but right now Nwaneri is considered a generational talent and arguably the best in his age group nationally. He’s proved it by ripping up U19, U21.

I would be very surprised if Divine gets near the first team this season, he could well do next season though if he gets off to a flying start at u21.

Your opinion is respected, I disagree, I regard Mukasa as a very special talent, one of the best I have seen in our academy.

Considering we have a real lack of energy in the side, chucking in a few youngsters would certainly help. If our front three knew they had a bit more bite behind them they could press without being concerned about the space they left. We're not finding any solutions from our experienced players so it's time to turn to the academy in my opinion.

He’s a talented kid, but we’ve had plenty who are arguably better over the past few years - Foden, Sancho, Brahim, Palmer, McAtee, Delap, Bobb, Nmecha, Frimpong, O’Reilly, Borges etc

I think he offers something very different to all of those, his size, he is two footed and equally as good with both, he also seems to cover a lot of ground effortlessly and at this age a much better finisher. It will be interesting to see how he goes.
I'm surprised to see Nmecha, I'm not sure which one but he's streets ahead of those two, also Frimpong, we have said no to him three times, I think it was his consistency if that's changed good for him but he wasn't as good at this age.
