I saw something, yesterday, that suggested that in recent training matches, our first team had been beaten by the academy teams several times. True? I don't know.
Seen that from a couple different sources. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was true. First team will treat is a light training session, whereas the EDS will be putting in 110% to impress Pep. I suppose it happens to several first teams in the PL, but it gained traction this time since we’re in unbelieveably bad form

A good example how our intensity has dropped if true. We need to find a way to refind it.

I think all you say is true. We have a lot of talented youth too, so perhaps it's a combination of both. First-team results create the narrative about the club more than any other factor.

I do like the look of this lad. He looks what I would call a natural footballer, you can see it in his long diagonal balls where he doesn't welly it but just strokes through the shot as if he's got all the time in the world. His disguised sorter passes through the lines are a delight as well. If we can keep the likes of Dortmund tapping him up with promises of instant 1st team football then he stands a very good chance of making it with us.

Nothing to do with intensity or anything else, the most recent game was a 9 vs 9 training session the day after we drew with Feyenoord. It means absolutely nothing.
Our youth team aren’t better than our senior players, yet ran rings around them in a 9v9 training session. That screams intensity to me.

May be a chance to see this guy play tonight, Vs Palace, live on City+. It is also being played at the Academy stadium, and tickets are available.

I strongly suspect he will be a starter tonight. Pretty sure he already has two FA youth cup winners medals with West Ham in 23, us in 24, must be lucky omen as well as decent footballer. Wonder if any one player has ever won youth cup 3 times?
