Diving bans approved

But what's the punishment now ?

Sane dives get the pen award and that's it.

Knowing he will get a ban for diving, it's unlikely he would do this.

( I dont dismiss VR - do both ! ) it'll happen eventually.
At present West Ham can penalised once. From next season it could be three times.

So be it. Rather punish the cheater.

been saying for ages that a player diving in the box should get a red. If the ref falls for it then the defender is sent off and a pen is given. It's a win win for the diver at the moment, yellow card at most. Let the ref decide, on the pitch, at the time.

We had the first goal line technology goal and we were the first team to use the 4th sub in extra time FA cup last season so it will only be fitting that we get the first diving ban

What Manchester does today, the world does tomorrow.

This system is massively open to abuse. I suspect the panel will be anonymous for starters, which opens it up to abuse. Plus, a player dives, defender gets sent off and the awarded penalty is scored. Subsequent review shows the dive, but the result still stands.

We all know there are players that will receive more leniency than others, and vice-versa. Certainly for our games Sly/BBC/BT will be desperately searching for the camera angle which shows the slightest of feather touches on the opposing player which proves it wasn't a dive, but when Sterling or Aguero goes down in the opposition box it will be the only camera angle that doesn't show contact.
