We'd have to pay a lot extra because De Jong's value is depreciated by him only having a year left. The Italian press says they'd consider offering us Maicon or Ranocchia in exchange, no mention of Sneijder.

I hope that De Jong stays, he might not be an automatic start but he offers options that are not easy to replace. He is the enforcer.

Nah Mancini was allegeadly after De Rossi in January and we have often played a DJ / Gaz Baz combo with Nasri further up the field.

I think we can all see that GazBaz / DJ combo has limitations - Barry has already indicated that he exprcts to play a lesser role in the coming seasons and unless DJ signs a new contract in the summerhe must be sold or he goes on a free next summer

Sneijder or De Rossi or similar type player would not be a replacement for Nasri
